Cinnamon Ice Cream

 

Ice Cream at its best... 
 
1 cups White Sugar
1 pint Half and Half
1/2 cup Whole Milk
3 eggs, beaten
 1 pint Heavy Cream
 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
3 tsp Cinnamon, ground - more or less to taste [older cinnamon will require more]
 
 Directions:
  • Over medium low heat, mix sugar, half and half and milk until it simmers
  • Remove from heat and mix half with eggs - whisking the eggs quickly to avoid cooking the eggs. 
  • Return egg mixture to the pot.and add heav cream.
  • Cook over medium low heat until thickened.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla and cinnamon. Set aside to cool (place in fridge for 30 mins).
  • Pour into ice cream maker and freeze using your ice cream maker.
 
 Notes:
