In a large mixing bowl mix the butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. In another bowl mix dry ingredients (flour, caradmom, cinnamon, ginger, baking power, baking soda and salt). In a third bowl mix sour cream and jam (or jelly). Blend the three bowls together and mix until smooth. Place into a 9x5 loaf pan that has been greased and flour'd, and bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes, until a wooden skewer comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes, then remove to wire rack to finish cooling. |
