Broccoli with Garlic Butter

Just the right mixture of garlic with broccoli and very easy to make!!
 
1.5 pounds  Broccoli, fresh or frozen, cut into bite size pieces
3 cups butter
1Tblspn brown sugar
3 Tblspn Soy Sauce
2 tsp White Vinegar
1/4 tsp black pepper
2 cloves garlic, minced
 
 Directions:

Cook the Broccoli - Place the broccoli into a large pot with about 1 inch of water in the bottom. Bring to a boil, and cook for 7 minutes, or until tender but still crisp. Drain. Or cook in Steamer for 13 minutes.

While the broccoli is cooking, melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Mix in the brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, pepper and garlic. Bring to a boil, then remove from the heat. 

Serve immediately as the broccoli will cool down quickly.

 
 Notes:  

Optionally add 1/3 cup chopped salted cashews to the garlic butter just before pouring over the broccoli.
